Body Belts & Straps

Body belts and positioning straps built around the worker, the tools they carry and the poles they climb.

The belt is where a lineman's working day is carried. We build ours in a size range rather than one universal fit, because a belt that rides high or sits loose is both uncomfortable and unsafe. Positioning straps are matched to the belt's D-rings and to the pole diameters on your network.

Belt size, D-ring configuration, tool-loop count and strap length are confirmed per model at quotation. Custom sizes made to order.

Where they are used

  • Pole-top positioning for both-hands-free work
  • Carrying hand tools, pliers and connectors to the work point
  • Structure work on transmission and substation steel
  • Anchoring and securing loads during hoisting

Selection notes

Size the belt to the waist over working clothing, not to trouser size, and account for the tool load the worker actually carries — a heavier load wants a wider, better-supported belt. Positioning strap length is driven by your largest pole diameter; too long is as much a hazard as too short. A body belt supports work positioning and is not fall-arrest equipment: pair it with a rated harness system where a fall is possible.

Before You Order Belts for a Crew

Send us headcount and we will issue a sizing sheet. Measure each worker over working clothing at the point the belt will actually sit, record the tool load they carry, and note anyone who works from a harness rather than a belt. We schedule the run once measuring is complete and mark each worker's kit under their name — so nothing is swapped on site and nothing is ordered twice.
